Maths – Dip and Pick – 3/4/20

Good morning Year 2!

Today I have a group of different word problems for you to tackle.

You can answer them in ANY order, just say which colour you are working on.

You may find that some of the word problems a bit easier to solve that others.

Remember to use the strategies from earlier in the week to help you solve the problems.

You can always dip back to any previous multiplication and division activity from earlier this week to remind and help you.

  1. WWW – I enjoyed using my brain because these were harder than usual.

    1. Well done Chloe. Sometimes we all need a bit of help. Hopefully soon you will be able to complete these types of questions on your own, but until then it’s ok to ask for help.

I’d love to know what your challenge word problem was.

    1. Well done for trying and answering this word problem.

      The first part was
30 bananas in 6 bags with a maximum of 5 in a bag.
      Which is
      30 ÷ 5 = 6

      The second part was
30 + 20 extra bananas put into bags of 5 bananas.
      Which is
      50 ÷ 5 = 10
You answered this second part correctly. Well done Aariz.
